Need case studies - Cross-team onboarding
I'm in the midst of writing recommendations to my CEO regarding changing our onboarding process to bring a newcomer through sitting with multiple other teams across the organisation before starting their official job.
Does this ring any bells on specific companies, it would be a great help if anyone could link some my way!
I don't recall any specific organizations, but does this help: https://corporate-rebels.com/research-5-kinds-of-social-networks/
Thanks Pim and hi Thomas,
Yes, we do have such an onboarding programma at Viisi. Our new 'Viisionairs' spend several weeks in each of our core teams, varying from customer service to more technical teams. They are fully emerged in the daily work of the teams and get as many operational roles as possible during those weeks. It helps them to thoroughly understand our business and meet their new colleagues, before starting their 'official work'. It also lays a solid foundation for cooperation between teams, as there is mutual understanding of what exactly it is other teams do, what their challenges are etc.
Hope this helps! Best, MP
One of the most challenging aspects of progressive organizing is getting there—transforming traditional companies into more humane and purposeful organizations. In today's video we explain three proven strategies.
"Too many companies that profited during the COVID-19 global pandemic over the past year have left a shameful record as they pursue anti-union agendas, deny workers sick leave, and refuse to pay workers a minimum wage on which they and their families can live."
