Need case studies - Cross-team onboarding
I'm in the midst of writing recommendations to my CEO regarding changing our onboarding process to bring a newcomer through sitting with multiple other teams across the organisation before starting their official job.
Does this ring any bells on specific companies, it would be a great help if anyone could link some my way!
I don't recall any specific organizations, but does this help: https://corporate-rebels.com/research-5-kinds-of-social-networks/
Thanks Pim and hi Thomas,
Yes, we do have such an onboarding programma at Viisi. Our new 'Viisionairs' spend several weeks in each of our core teams, varying from customer service to more technical teams. They are fully emerged in the daily work of the teams and get as many operational roles as possible during those weeks. It helps them to thoroughly understand our business and meet their new colleagues, before starting their 'official work'. It also lays a solid foundation for cooperation between teams, as there is mutual understanding of what exactly it is other teams do, what their challenges are etc.
Hope this helps! Best, MP
Spotify does it again! Once again, the music streaming service challenges conventional wisdom by allowing employees to work from anywhere. They are pro-actively turning the lessons of the pandemic into new ways of working. Here's how.
About a year ago office work came to a grinding halt. Suddenly, most companies were forced to face their greatest fear: remote work. Let's recap what the world has learned after a year of working from home. Spoiler alert: it wasn't all that scary.
