Here's something we've wanted to build for a very long time: a vibrant place to train, connect, and support those looking to radically redesign their companies. Think of it as a training camp for corporate rebels. Here's a sneak peek.

Making work better

Even if you know just a tiny bit about why we started Corporate Rebels, you know that we're strong believers of more fun and engaging workplaces. Work, for so many people, can be so much better: more exciting, more fulfilling, more adventurous, and more rewarding.

To create a world where the majority go to work full of passion, we need change. A lot of change.

The way many people work is outdated—based on assumptions that are no longer valid. The world has changed dramatically in the past 100 years. But the way we organize work has remained largely the same. Organizations still rely heavily on hierarchies, bureaucracy, top-down command, tight rules and control.

And that's not just painfully ineffective—it's also dispiriting for the majority.

Luckily, that's no longer needed.

A better way to work

There is a better way. And it's not just theory. The 100+ pioneers we've visited and researched over the past 5 years show there is an alternative—and an engaging alternative.

From Buurtzorg to Haier and from K2K to Centigo, progressive organizations like these have created workplaces that others can learn a great deal from.

That's why we've been sharing their ways of working for years on our blog. Now is the time to push this to a whole new level.

It's time for the Corporate Rebels Online Academy.

Corporate Rebels Online Academy

We've been wanting to create an online academy for years, but never really carved out the time for it. Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic, we've been able to move this idea to execution.

So here's the idea.

We're building an online academy to teach people around the world all about progressive workplaces. Classes will focus on:

  • Understanding and designing progressive organization structures
  • Detailed case studies on pioneers
  • Radical working practices
  • Proven transformation strategies

Content will be diverse, including animations, video interviews, ebooks, live Q&A sessions, and much more. Some courses will be exclusively on-demand and can be taken individually. Others take place in online classes with a combination of on-demand content and live sessions.

Learn directly from the pioneers

The best thing? It's not just us who you'll learn from. Pioneering organizations around the world are on board too! (We'll soon share more on this.) They'll be sharing their expertise and insights directly with you. Plus, we're working with them to create separate modules explaining in great detail how these pioneers work.

Our ultimate goal is an online academy filled with everything there is to know about progressive workplaces and how to make work more fun. The academy will play an important role in igniting, teaching, and connecting rebels around the world.

We plan to launch our first course in the spring of 2021. At the moment we're working hard to create content and get the platform ready. Quality comes first, which is why we're taking the time to get things right.

For now, here's a sneak peek of the first course:

Get ready

We're extremely proud to work with so many pioneering organizations to share their stories with a wider audience. It's an important part of fueling the global workplace revolution.

Great initiative! People are aware of the need to change and it’s extremely valuable to show examples and cases to get inspiration and learnings.

It is very easy to change processes and structures. It is another challenge to change habits, behaviour, attitude, etc.
I would like a training that helps explain how the pioneers accompanied this change (humanly speaking), what steps they took, etc.

This. We are going through such a transition, while walking some clients through the journey as well.

Will be interesting to see how close what we have come up with matches with your education. Although the exact method matters less than paying attention to the right principles, I am eager to see what else you will bring to the transformational utilities belt.

I will invite a couple of folks from our company to attend once this gets started.

For the curious, how we are looking at our change, definitely a work in progress

It's a great initiative. I'm a practitioner and could be providing some tools and material.
Let me know if this would help.
All the best

I'd like to understand how individual's maturity and the maturity of teams are developed in those organizations - and how effective decision making is performed.
