The moment is nearly upon us. In just a few short hours, we'll be unveiling the first edition of our completely revamped Corporate Rebels newsletter. We listened to your feedback, infused it with our own ideas, and cooked up a fresh, engaging format designed to help you make work more fun.

Of course, the primary goal of our newsletter remains the same: to help you make work more enjoyable.

So, what are you looking for?

Feedback on our newsletter

We reached out to our current newsletter subscribers (50,000+ in total) and social media followers (150,000+ in total) to learn what they desired from our newsletter.

Here's what we found:

  • Case studies & practices. This stood out big time. People want even more practical examples of case studies and practices. With many new interviews and research trips planned, prepare for an abundance of pioneering organizations and their transformation stories.
  • Tools/bite-sized learning. Another popular request was for more bite-sized content and additional tools. We hear you. We've got plenty of valuable content in our archives and in production that we can easily convert into digestible learning. As for the tools section, we'll need to put in some work, but we'll be ready to share them with you soon.

Apart from these suggestions, we received extremely helpful feedback. A few recurring comments included:

  • "Stop sharing external articles that are behind paywalls or require sign-up forms"
  • "Make it more personal"
  • "Simplify the structure"
  • "Reduce the visual overload"

Helpful stuff!

Adding our ideas to the mix

The decision to revamp our newsletter stemmed from our recent exploration of the world of newsletters. Our main realization? We're a bunch of amateurs when it comes to properly setting up a newsletter.

After listening to the Nathan Barry Show (a podcast series by the founder of email marketing platform ConvertKit), we identified numerous areas for improvement.

We've incorporated many ideas into the new newsletter, and we'll continue to roll out enhancements in the coming months.

Some big changes have already been made:

1. Merging two newsletters into one

Until now, we sent an email each time we published a new blog post. A few years ago, we added a bi-weekly newsletter featuring community news and external articles. We've now merged these into a single newsletter.

2. Adjusting the frequency

Rather than sending a new blog alert email twice a week and a newsletter twice a month, we've simplified our approach and shifted to a weekly newsletter. Expect it in your inbox every Tuesday.

3. Challenging you more

Our mission at Corporate Rebels is to make work more fun, and we know you share that passion. That's why each newsletter will now include a small yet significant challenge to help transform your work environment. Some challenges will be easy, some more difficult, but all will contribute to our collective impact around the world.

4. Welcoming new changemakers

Blog posts and newsletters can easily get lost over time. We can't expect newcomers to catch up on all the content we've produced in the past 7.5 years. To address this, all new subscribers will now receive a six-email onboarding sequence, distilling everything we've learned from our 7.5 years of research, 150+ visits to pioneers, and 1,000+ interviews.

Note: We'll also provide current subscribers with the option to go through this onboarding sequence.

Introducing our reimagined newsletter

Our completely revamped newsletter will be sent out this Tuesday for the very first time.

Joost and I will take turns writing the newsletters, making them more personal than ever. We'll openly share our victories, challenges, ambitions, and doubts as we strive to advance the global workplace revolution.

Don't miss out. Subscribe below.
