Professor for HRM (and secretly also for leadership) at the University of St. Gallen. Leader with a great research and teaching team dedicated to the overall question how we can make workplaces better, thriving enabling enviroments. We often also debunk HR myths - such as showing that carrots do not work (team no-carrots for 20 years now) or that transparency has its dark sides too. Otherwise I am outgoing president of a big network of trust researchers (FINT) and engaged in the board of the Swiss Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities because I truly believe that real-world problems need to be engaged with in an trans-disciplinary dialogue. Am I a rebel? Well "j'accuse" is what professors used to be doing and "could we not think differently" is what I try to do now.
