I am a consultant that supports companies in building network-based IT organisations, embedded in the business. My company name is AgileNation - pure agile is a self-organised network strategy. It's all about people - right people, right place, right job.
I'm a former PMO director who is frustrated with the stagnation of the corporate organisation. I've worked with blue chips and mom'n'pop shops alike for over 23 years and I am under-awed by the determination corporates exhibit to remain bureaucratic. Bureaucracy is fear and a lack of accountability. If this is how a company's employment force wish to operate then they have hired the wrong people. I believe entirely in the empowerment of people to own and deliver strategy and solutions. And I can put in place the structure that allows them to soar.
Oh yeah, and I'm a raving feminist to boot. No bra-burning but none of this meek'n'mild '#metoo pretty please' lingo neither. Forget quotas - they address a symptom not a cause. And I never want to hear anyone tell me I got a free ride when I had to earn every single step on the ladder. Surrounded by boys clubs. It's all down to education - by parents and schools. Misogyny is not decreasing because we are not educating our youth - boys and girls - comprehensively. Chicks in power is my pulpit topic. Networked orgs is the work that I love.
