I have spent my whole career in mortgages. Firstly joining a bank in 1999, then becoming a broker in 2003 and latterly running my own company since 2014. I have done the corporate thing and was keen to find a better way of doing things!

I am blessed that I have no formal higher education, or parental expectations to live up to, so I have been relatively free to explore things my own way. while that was harder at the start, I am starting to see the upside of taking a self taught and open minded approach when running a company (although it may have mitigated a lot of pain at the start...). Finance is dull as hell, but that doesn't mean work has to be boring does it?!
In my spare time, I enjoy boxing and am seriously considering having a run at becoming a world champion at 'chess-boxing', but it turns out Chess is really hard, so that may take more work than I had anticipated...
Somehow I am still married and have 2 beautiful daughters. We went whole hog and got a dog recently who is a great running partner.
If all goes to plan, I will have provided a good start to life for my girls so they can grow and explore the world in their own way.
